Day 3

So far, so good! I haven't cheated, I haven't even had the craving to cheat. Even though I watched my hubby eat yet another dessert pie from Burger King and a full size soda. Atleast I made him carry it into the house so I didn't have the urge to take a sip or force him to give me a bite.

As a growing photographer, I realized that weight loss is a necessity. Not only for the obvious health reasons but to be able to get those difficult shots that have you rolling on the ground or getting high or as low as possible. When you're on your feet, running after kids or keeping up with adults, the last thing I need is to have my back go out or have aching body parts. Shoots can last 1-5 hours! That takes a toll on a bigger gals body. But I've been a trooper and I think it's the joy of pushing my hobby into a business that urges me to continue and strive for a healthier form. AGAIN the IPad is helping with this! You know how great that would be for this business? Just saying..........

So my goal after today is to weigh in each week, but I weighed in today to see if this plan was working and I'm down...
2.8lbs!!!
All water weight for sure but who cares! I am down

TWO . EIGHT POUNDS!

Breakfast-

  • 2 Eggs, scrambled via microwave
  • Shredded Cheddar
  • Ketchup

Lunch-

  • 1/2 large chicken breast, BL, seasoned with Garlic Powder, seasoning salt, thyme and grated parmesan cheese (in a can of course) w/Shredded Cheddar
  • Small side salad from Burger King
  • Ranch Dressing
Dinner-

  • Stuffed chicken with a piece of laughing cow triangle cheese. Seasoned as above.
  • Mixed frozen Veggies
  • Ranch because it's my life support system

Update!

I didn't make the stuffed chicken last night since DH *Dear Husband* didn't come home until 10pm! Poor thing...

I ended up making 4 pieces of Gortons frozen fish. Butter and Garlic Tilapia and some type of herb white fish.

I also made some Birds Eye Steam frozen cauliflower and broccoli. The Tiliapia was alright. The other fish was absolutely disgusting. Which was fine because the two small pieces of fish and veggies were enough to fill me. OH and ranch. :X

For SOME reason, I ended up making a Ball Park Hot Dog. I wasn't even hungry but I was bored and eyeing the candy that my loving husband just happened to leave hanging around the house and I was getting tempted so I kept myself even fuller by eating the hot dog. HEY Atleast it's low carb!! It worked. But I felt really full.

Carb Count- 15.80
Calories- 1006

  1. I am a little jealous already... I need to figure out how to give up a lot of my carbs, I know its my problem. Here are my issues:
    1. I get bored easily, I could not eat the same lunch for 70 days, let alone the same lunch AND dinner as you are today
    2. I do not mix meat/poultry with dairy, so I can't do cheese with chicken, etc.

I think I am going to try to reduce my carbs by half next week and see how it goes....

  2. Normally I'm bored within the first two days. When doing low carb, I do eat a lot healthier than what I've been posting and I hope everyone sees that in the future. I've been in a crunch for time and haven't been able to do an actual shopping trip. Tomorrow's pay day and I'm pretty free so I have a menu in hand.

There are millions of recipes. Even if you went on the Atkins facebook site, people post pictures of what they're eating, including recipes of a new cauliflower crust pizza. They're smart in finding alternatives for your everyday foodgroups.

I mix everything, I'm abnormal when it comes to that. Cheese is a lot of people's downfall and it can stall them but apparently I'm doing alright with it but admit I need to cut some out. *Sniff*

Google menu ideas online and see what comes up. You'll be amazed at the options that are out there. Just need the motivation to actually make the recipes! Which has always been my issue with sticking to the plan.
